Adams, on the occasion of the Nevada Juneteenth Observance Foundation celebration at the West Las Vegas Library and Arts Theatre. He is most widely known for his 1974 weekly minority affairs series of the Nebraska Educational Television Network titled “Rap About It with Mal Adams” and his current world-wide program, “Japan Journal with Mal Adams”, which is the internet’s No. 1 Weekly English Language Online cybercast from Japan. Currently a permanent resident of Japan where he has been living in “self-imposed exile” for the past forty years, Adams' programs focus on key issues facing American Minorities whose concerns and interests are often underrepresented in mainstream media shows. His programs and lectures also explore current and topical news events in an effort to bring into sharper focus the implications of these events for the Minority community. The following program begins with a musical celebration of the Las Vegas Juneteenth event followed by the Mal Adams lecture titled, 'From Slavery To Trump~Where Do We Go From Here'.

Juneteenth at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

The Lincoln Depot Museum's June 19, 2015 Juneteenth Flag Ceremony was a wonderful event that made history for the area. It was the first of its kind and fitting for the museum to host the event. The ceremony was particularly poignant with the recent tragedy in South Carolina. The LDM dedicated the event to the victims of that terrible event. A special thank you to those who participated: Pastor Gary Colter of the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church and the Mt. Lebanon Choir, Lincoln Depot Museum President John G. Testa, Lincoln Society in Peekskill President Tristi Nichols, Peekskill Mayor Frank Catalina, Pastor Stephany Graham of the Peekskill Presbyterian Church and The Oliver C. Chase American Legion Post in Peekskill
